Rewards Working Group

Function. The Rewards WG ran the TEC’s contribution-reward system — the machinery that turned recognition of work into token rewards. It managed the Praise pipeline, the Quantifier pool, and the Reward Board that approved and disbursed distributions.

What it accomplished. It operationalized the TEC’s defining cultural mechanism: members gave Praise for contributions, Quantifiers scored it, and the Reward Board swapped Common Pool funds to $TEC and distributed rewards on a regular cadence — publishing transparent reports each round. Over time it iterated on quantification methods and reward-system parameters, and codified the Reward Board - Requirements and Guidelines.
