Community Stewards Working Group

Function. The Community Stewards were the operational and pastoral core of the TEC — responsible for community health, onboarding, coordination across the other working groups, and keeping the organization running week to week. Stewards facilitated calls, held the weekly cadence, approved new working groups, and managed role transitions.

What it accomplished. It sustained the TEC’s day-to-day operations through its most active years: running the Stewards call that other groups reported into, stewarding onboarding and offboarding, maintaining the shared roadmap and sprint rhythm, and acting as the connective tissue between teams. When the TEC restructured in late 2022, the Stewards function folded into the leaner Coordination Team (see Working Groups Overview).
