Perspectives

Most of this archive is a neutral, third-person record, with personal names in internal documents redacted. This section is different. It is a space for people who were part of the Token Engineering Commons to share their own reflections, in their own words — attributed as they choose. It’s the human counterpoint to the operational record: what the experience actually felt like, what mattered, what was learned.

Perspectives are personal accounts. They are not endorsed by, or spoken on behalf of, the TEC or its stewards, and they may disagree with one another. That is intended.

Contribute your perspective

There are two ways to submit, and a defined window (see below).

Easiest — open an issue. Go to the archive’s GitHub repository, open a New Issue, and choose the “Share a Perspective” template. Fill in how you’d like to be attributed and your reflection. A steward will format it and add it to this section.

If you’re comfortable with GitHub — open a pull request. Add a Markdown file to the content/Perspectives/ folder following the format in Contributing, and open a PR.

  • Consent. By submitting, you agree to your reflection being published publicly in this archive, attributed exactly as you specify (your name, a handle, or “anonymous”).
  • Your words. Reflections are curated only for length, clarity, and formatting — never edited for viewpoint. You are free to be critical.
  • Boundaries. Submissions that name or expose other people’s private information, or that are abusive, may be declined or lightly edited to remove the private details, in keeping with the Archival Policy.
  • Removal. You may ask to have your own perspective amended or removed at any time.

Contribution window

To keep faith with the archive’s finality, perspectives are gathered during a defined window and then frozen with the rest of the record.

Open until: [set a closing date — e.g. 60 days after launch]. After that date this section is closed, and the archive becomes fully historical.

Published perspectives will be listed here as they are added.
